brief history
On the initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, a year was officially presented at the beginning of the year 2012 ( Libya Electronic Initiative... More With an initiative from the Ministry of Communications and Informatics in 2012, the (E- Libya Initiative... More) was officially presented, the government adopted the laying of the scientific and practical foundations for the implementation of the initiative. the Council of Ministers approved the initiative and established the Department of Electronic Services by Cabinet Resolution (31-2012), and then the General Department of Electronic Services later for it to work on developing the initiative into a practical and executive program.
The Council of Ministers established a national government program that seeks to implement e-government (.... More ) and it was called (e-services program) at the end of 2012 and it was officially launched during the first quarter of 2013.

e-services program
The official name of the e-government program, established by the Council of Ministers pursuant to Resolution (99 of 2013), and supervised by a higher committee headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Technical Affairs, with the membership of the Minister of Communications and Informatics, and the Minister of Finance. Minister of Planning. Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Minister of Economy, Minister of Local Government, Minister of Interior, General Coordinator of the Decision Support Office in the Council of Ministers.
The program aims to
The program aims to develop and raise the level of quality through the use of communication and information technology by comprehensive transformation to electronic transactions and linking all government agencies to simplify government procedures and transactions provided to citizens, residents and business owners, reduce duplication of software systems and enhance the principle of transparency and decentralization.
The Council of Ministers assigned the Ministry of Communications and Informatics to prepare an executive strategic plan for the program, with the assistance of one of the specialized international experts , the Ministry of Communications and Informatics has contracted with PwC to develop the targeted strategy under the supervision of the General Administration of Electronic Services in cooperation with all sectors and government agencies within the project.

- Design, development, implementation and operation of the electronic registration website for the national campaign for vaccination against the emerging corona virus in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the National Center for Disease Control

- Hosting government websites and applications in the Authority's data center in cooperation with the Information Networks Office.
- Supporting the implementation of the integrated system for the management and tracking of criminal cases, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.
- Enabling electronic payment methods and mechanisms within the public and private sectors.
- Implementation of the Authority's e-services portal in cooperation with the General Directorate of Regulatory Affairs
- Implementation of the institutional resource management system in the authority in cooperation with the Office of Information Networks.
- Documenting and preparing the procedures manual in the authority as a first step towards digital transformation in the authority.
